The service
englishmaa is spoken English practice with AI tutors. The tutors are not people, and what they say can be wrong. It is practice, not a qualification or a test result. You must be 13 or older to use it.
The free minute
Each device gets one free practice call of about a minute, with no sign-up. We may limit free calls from one network to keep the service running for everyone.
Plans and talk time
Paid plans give a number of minutes of talk time. Talk time counts while you or your tutor is speaking; silence does not count. Unused minutes do not carry over to the next period.
The 7-day pass is a single payment and does not renew. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account on the web, or from your App Store or Google Play subscriptions; the plan then runs to the end of the period you paid for.
Buying in the app
In the iPhone and iPad app, plans are sold by Apple, and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies alongside these terms. In the Android app, plans are sold by Google Play.
Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase. Monthly and yearly plans renew at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
Refunds
7-day pass and yearly plan: a full refund within 30 days of paying, if you have used fewer than 90 minutes of talk time.
Monthly plan: no partial refunds for the current month. If it renewed by accident, email us within 48 hours of the renewal for a refund.
To ask, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We reply within 2 business days. Purchases in the app are refunded through Apple or Google under their rules.
Fair use
Do not use englishmaa to harass anyone, to get around its limits, or to copy or resell the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
