Give a short talk
Give a three-minute talk with a clear opening, three points and a close, then take a question.
Your tutor sets the scene with one line, then you talk it through out loud:
The floor is yours. Pick a topic you know well and give me a three-minute talk. Tell me your topic when you're ready.Practise this now

What happens on the call
- You do most of the talking. Your tutor keeps replies short and asks you a question back.
- Mistakes are fixed one at a time, after you finish a thought, never mid-sentence.
- First you get a nudge to fix it yourself. If you are stuck, your tutor says it once and you say it again.
- Afterwards you get notes: what you did well, up to two fixes, and one phrase to keep.
